MASTER OF DIVINITY
The Master of Divinity is the traditional three year program for men planning to enter formal ministry. It requires the successful completion of a minimum of 96 semester hours of course work. To be admitted to the Master of Divinity program one must have a Bachelor’s degree in any field or its equivalent from a recognized institution of higher learning. 
 
Below is the general breakdown of course requirements for the Master of Divinity:  
 
OLD TESTAMENT STUDIES (15 hours)
 
NEW TESTAMENT STUDIES (15 hours)
 
BIBLICAL LANGUAGES (12 hours)
 
THEOLOGY (12 hours)
 
HISTORY (12 hours)
 
MINISTRY RELATED (14 hours)
 
ELECTIVES (16 hours)
 
Total Hours: 96
 
The 16 hours of electives gives the student the opportunity to either choose from a wide range of different courses or to develop a "major focus" in some particular field of interest. See the Graduate Course Descriptions to get an idea of all the different courses and subjects that you will be able to study as a Graduate Student at Leland. There are few, if any, subjects in the area of Biblical Christianity that you will not study or be introduced to.
