DONNIE BURFORD, B.A., BRE., M.Th.
Bro. Burford graduated from Lexington Baptist College in 1989 with a B.A. degree in Biblical Studies. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Religious Education at Kentucky Mountains Baptist College under Dr. Sadler in 2002. He then went on to earn his Master’s degree in Theology from Landmark Baptist Theological Seminary in 2007 where he is currently working toward his doctorate. He has been in full-time ministry for over 30 years. Beginning in 1988 he served in various capacities at Ashland Avenue Baptist Church, Lexington, KY (1986-1989), Home Missionary (1990-1995); founder and pastor of Purity Baptist Church, Mayesville KY (1995-2007). Since 2007 he has pastored the South Irvine Baptist Church, Irvine KY. His academic and teaching experience includes the Dean of Admissions, Kentucky Mountains Baptist College, Booneville, KY (2003-2005), professor of Systematic Theology and the Pentateuch at Antioch Baptist College, Richmond, KY Campus (2012-14). He is currently professor of Biblical Counseling at John Leland Baptist College, Georgetown, KY ( 2016 to the present ).
PHILIP duBARRY, B.S., B.R.E., M.A.
Bro. duBarry was Presidential Scholar at Middle Tennessee State University and Vice-President of the MTSU Debate Team where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education in 1999. He earned a Bachelor of Religious Education degree from Kentucky Mountains Baptist College under Dr. Carl Sadler in 2001. He received his Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from John Leland in 2010. He has been in the ministry since 1993 and his full time teaching experience includes the Franklin Road Christian School, Murfreesboro, TN. He is presently Assistant Pastor and Director of Children’s Ministry at the Addyston Baptist Church, Addyston, OH.
JIM DUVALL, B.A., M.A. Bro. Duvall holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and English from Campbellsville University, Campbellsville, KY and a Master of Arts degree in History from Austin Peay University, Clarksville, TN. Bro. Duvall has extensive pastoral experience. His teaching experience includes Clarksville Baptist College, Temple Baptist College, and Northern Kentucky University. He teaches History and Bible at John Leland. In addition, Bro Duvall oversees The Baptist History Homepage, one of the largest websites of Baptist History available. JOHN D. HAYNES, B.M., M.A. Bro. Haynes graduated Cum Laude from Northern Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s degree in Music. He has conducted private music lessons since 1976. He was ordained to the Gospel ministry in 1997 and is Pastor of the New Testament Baptist Church of Norwood, Ohio. He has studied and taught extensively in both Old and New Testaments. He hold a Master of Arts degree in Biblical Studies from John Leland (2008) where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. His primary field is Hebrew and Old Testament Studies. CHARLES HUNT, B.A., M.A., M.Div. Bro. Hunt holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible (1982) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Education (1983) from Temple Baptist College, Cincinnati, OH. He received his Master of Arts degree in Biblical Studies from Temple in 1996 and his Masters of Divinity from John Leland (2010). His teaching experience includes Temple Baptist College, Cincinnati, OH, and over 20 years of teaching experience at Pleasant View Christian School (secondary education), Bromley, KY. Bro. Hunt has 20 years of pastoral experience and is currently Pastor of Pleasant View Baptist Church. He teaches Bible and Theology at John Leland. DAVID PREWITT, B.A., M.A. WILLIAM VAN NUNEN, B.A., M.A., Ph.D. His dissertation is titled An Introduction, Commentary, and Notes on Sections 1-14 of the Latin Text of the Prima Cognitio of the Gesta Collationis Cathaginensis Anno 411. The Gesta, as it is generally referrred to, is a verbatim record of the conference and trial convened at Carthage in June of A.D. 411 in an attempt to resolve once and for all the century long schism between the Catholic and Donistist parties of North Africa. His college teaching experience includes Temple Baptist College (Greek and Latin), Cincinnati, OH; Somerset Community College (English and Literature); and Northern Kentucky University (History).
